2015 is just around the corner. The beginning of a new year and a time for setting new goals and planning just how you will achieve them.
The Christmas break seems to get everyone in the motivated spirit once the big day is over. We count down the last few days of 2014, indulge a little bit more and adopt the attitude that when the clock strikes midnight on the 31st December/1st January, we’re ready to tackle our goals head on.
What do you have planned for the New Year? Are you goals personal or business related? Are you someone that can stick to the plan and achieve what you set out to do or do you have the best intentions but just don’t seem to be able to pull them off?
Here’s an article published on the turn of 2013 to 2014, which has some really great tips for setting achievable goals.
How to Set Smart and Achievable Goals
To start setting your 2014 objectives, think about what you’ve done in 2013 as the basis for how you intend to move forward next year. As Shakespeare wrote in The Tempest, “What’s past is prologue,” meaning that the past sets the context for the future.
We all want to achieve something and when you adopt the ability to reflect on just what you have achieved it’s a very rewarding feeling.
Do you need help with setting your goals? Are you setting your sights too high or not giving yourself enough credit and setting them too low?
